Doc Martin & the North coast
Full day tour £275 for up to 4 persons & £300 for 4-6 persons {total}
During this full day tour you will be picked up from your accommodation before heading along the North coast to visit the unspoilt fishing village of Boscastle where you can explore the village and maybe visit the famous museum of witchcraft.
We will now take a short drive passing various buildings and locations used in the filming of Doc Martin to Tintagel with it’s 14th c “Old Post Office” and Legends of King Arthur. From here we will take a short coastal drive with spectacular views before joining the narrow roads to Port Isaac or Portwenn and the fictional home of Doc Martin where you can wonder the the tiny alley (ope) ways between the whitewashed fishermen’s cottages and visit the surgery to see if the grumpy doc is at home, and maybe have lunch at The Old school, the workplace of Louisa or a ice cream at Mrs Tishels. After a leisurely time exploring you will be taken a little further along the coast to the now very quiet natural harbour of Port Quin where we can take a walk up to Doyden Castle or Pentire Castle as it’s known in the series, also hear about the hard lives of the past residents and why it has been known as the “village that died”.
It’s now a little further along the coast past the surfing beach of Polzeath you now have a choice of staying in the vehicle for the drive to Padstow or alternatively you can take the foot ferry, here you will have time to explore this picturesque working harbour surrounded by some great shops, galleries & top restaurants.
