South Cornwall Guided Tour

Full Day Tour up to 4 guests £375 and 5-6 guests £420

This sightseeing tour will start with a drive through the ancient town of Lostwithiel, then taking the narrow and winding road crossing an Elizabethan bridge to the pretty riverside village of Lerryn. We then continue along the road through hidden Cornish villages to Bodinnick, where Daphne du Maurier lived and wrote many of her novels. Next it’s a short ferry ride across the river to the picturesque town of Fowey, with its tiny cottages reaching down to the waters edge. Here you will have time to explore the small streets and alleyways and possibly enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants, takeaways and pubs.

Now it’s back on the on the road to the unspoilt Georgian port of Charlestown used in many films and TV series, the most recent being the BBC’s Poldark. From here we take the narrow country lanes to Mevagissey, which once had a thriving pilchard fishing industry and was also the haunt of a highly organised bunch of smugglers. You will have a chance to take a look around and maybe visit the great little local museum (free entry). As these are personal tours, you can stop where you please, and you are free to spend more time in the places that you want to!
